Contractor: City Museum Kriva Palanka + Municipality of Kriva Palanka
The ”Grandma March Day 2017” as a project was started between HAEMUS and the City Museum Kriva Palanka, supported by the Municipality of Kriva Palanka. It was designed in order to comprise several elements:
- display of the panels with explanation about the geographical location of the custom, how to make the traditional and contemporary amulets, the way of giving and wearing the amulets, ritual practice, symbolism of the colors as well as the local legends about Grandma March Day
- display of the hand-made amulets from Macedonia, Bulgaria and Romania
- projection of documentaries about the Grandma March Day
- bazaar for buying amulets
- creative workshops for children
