    On 27th and 28th February 2017, the second workshop within the project “First World War and youth – peace and reconciliation” was organized in Dojran. The project was  implemented by ALDA Skopje and it’s supported by the British Embassy in Skopje. The activity involved high school students from several cities in Macedonia, who strengthened their knowledge from this historical period in the country through a field visit and interactive workshops on the topic of First World War.     On November 25, 2015, the exhibition dedicated to the First World War in the Balkans was opened at the Muzeul Judetean Buzau/ Buzau County Museum. The exhibition was organized in collaboration with the French Embassy in Romania, 2nd Infantry Division Getica, French Cultural Institute of the Republic of Macedonia, Marshal Alexandru Averescu Foundation, French Cultural Centre of Buzau and HAEMUS – Center for scientific research and promotion of the culture (Republic of Macedonia).     In august 2015 a group of 12 young journalists from France and Balkan countries were in Macedonia for a travelling seminar to follow the experience of World War I correspondent Albert Londres. Six seasoned French journalists mentor the young participants in the project that will also travel to Albania and visit places where Londres reported from during the war. Londres also wrote a book on the Macedonian movement for creating an independent country. In his career he also reported from early Communist Russia and Asian countries.     Members of HAEMUS were part of the study trip (20-24.10.2014) to Lower Normandy organized by ALDA and became official partners of the long-term project about memorial tourism dedicated to the WWI and East front in the Republic of Macedonia. The main host was the Regional Council of Lower Normandy and their office in Skopje.
