Co-founder of HAEMUS, Biljana Garevska was a part of the project on Geo-mapping of paleontological sites in the Republic of Macedonia (May, 28 – June, 1, 2013). The aim of the project, conducted by the’ Macedonian Museum of Natural History‘, was to mark the physical / geographical boundaries of the known paleontological outdoor sites. Based on these results, as well as findings from previous excavations and publications, a proposal to declare these areas as protected areas under the laws of natural and cultural heritage will be submitted to the Macedonian Ministry of Environment and Physical Planning.
