On March 18, 2021, at the invitation of prof. dr. Milica Patraklieva as coordinator, Vasilka Dimitrovska, the director of HAEMUS, held a lecture with more than forty students to whom through a visual presentation was explained the custom “Martinki”, since the HAEMUS as an organization is safeguarding this intangible cultural heritage inscribed in UNESCO. This lecture was part of an ongoing project that should end with the celebration of April 18, the International Day for Monuments and Sites, and it was attended by teachers-coordinators and students from the following primary schools: Primary School “Lazo Trpovski”, Primary School “Lirija”, Primary School “Tefejuz” and primary school “26 July”, all from Skopje.

The purpose of this project, initiated by the primary school “Lazo Trpovski” from Skopje, is to support the students through education to develop their love and care for tangible and intangible cultural heritage of different ethnicities in Macedonia as a symbol of multiculturalism, but also to respect different cultural traditions through which the young population will encourage their responsible care and safeguarding.
