An extremely precious statue of the goddess Venus (3rd c. AD), was found recently during the archaeological excavations at Skupi, the ancient Roman town within the limits of today's Skopje (Republic of Macedonia). The original statue has a value similar to the ones displayed at the Louvre Museum in Paris, and can be seen at the Museum of the City of Skopje.
